My life-long passion for photography solidified in the 1980's when I studied b/w darkroom technique, and did extensive work with live performance photography at the Opera Company of Boston. I set up my first darkroom in a spare bedroom, and soon after began selling my work professionally. As a photo-artisan, I take pleasure in producing hand-made cards, framed prints, graphic design work, and other creative projects incorporating my original images . I am especially adept at retouching, hand-coloring, and other image-enhancing processes, all of which services I offer professionally. In my years in Manhattan, I found inspiration not only in nature as it is traditionally perceived, but also in its transformation by urban alchemy. Now living in Hudson, the main focus of my current work is a celebration of the city, its architecture, its people, and its energy.
